Agates are found 500 Km southwest of Kuranda. We collect them from Agate Creek, tumble them for 4 - 5 weeks in a stone-tumbler until they are ready to be polished.
After this extensive procedure holes are drilled into the agates and finally I make jewelry like necklaces and brace-lets out of them, with silver or gold chasp.
About the properties of Agate
