SILK N' STONES is a workshop in Kuranda, Far North Queensland, Australia, where we cut opals, especially the Matrix Opal from the Koroit and Winton/Opalton areas and Black Opals from Lightning Ridge. We also work with other Australian stones such as agates. We, that's my husband Emmerich and myself Brigitte. He cuts the opals and other stones and I create jewellery, like necklaces and bracelets from these stones and I paint on silk as well.

You get better prices because we can cut out a large percentage obtained by the middle men.
